The first in-game charity race
Call of Duty recruited Twitter to raise massive awareness for their veteran endowment fund.
So, we helped them trade guns for runs with #CODVeteruns100K — the first ever in-game charity race that we powered and tracked on Twitter.
The race finished strong with 226.7 MILLION km run in COD’s Warzone game and 30+ media headlines — including Adage, The Washington Post, and IGN. Best of all, we increased positive conversation about vets. 2 out of 3 people who participated had never Tweeted about veterans before this race!
Our Misconceptions Thread on Twitter featured an honest Q&A between Call Of Duty and CODE4Vets to help educate gamers about veterans and break down stereotypes.
